On October 31, 2024, the Excellent Water Conservancy Engineer Training Project (Digital Twin Water Conservancy Class) of the Ministry of Water Resources held a summary meeting of the university knowledge update stage and the launch meeting of the project practice exercise stage at Hohai University. The Digital Twin Water Conservancy Class is composed of 32 professional and technical personnel who understand both water conservancy and digital application technology, selected through the national water conservancy system. It adopts a three-stage connection and engineering integration training method, focusing on the six implementation paths to promote high-quality development of water conservancy. It innovates the training mode of high-level water conservancy talents, accelerates the construction of water conservancy strategic talent force, and aims to cultivate a composite talent team that understands both water conservancy technology and digital application, vigorously promoting the digital transformation of the water conservancy industry. Professor Gao Yuqin from our institute served as the research supervisor for the student project, conducting research on the topic of Research and Application of Key Technologies for River Basin Flood Control 'Four Predictions'. After three months, the group successfully completed the research task, and the research results received unanimous praise from relevant leaders of the Ministry of Water Resources and defense experts.
