On November 21-22, 2020, Dean Wang Yuan led a team to College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower of Zhejiang province to participate in the sixth annual meeting of the Higher Education Branch of the China Water Conservancy Education Association and the 2018-2022 Teaching Guidance for Water Conservancy Majors The fourth enlarged meeting of the committee.
During the meeting, Dean Wang Yuan as the convener of the hydraulic engineering group, presided over a group discussion on water conservancy and hydropower engineering. Nearly 50 expert representatives from 24 units including Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Sichuan University, Tianjin University attended the meeting. Participating experts conducted heated discussions on the topics of certification standards, curriculum systems and first-class curriculum construction guidelines, online curriculum construction, textbook resource construction, production-education integration mechanism research, and degree postgraduate evaluation system construction for water conservancy majors. Experts focused on whether the first-class professional certification standards need to consider local characteristics and industrial economic needs to adopt different construction standards, and how professional certification can promote the construction of first-class undergraduate majors under the current new engineering background. At the same time, experts unanimously suggested that water conservancy spiritual education, curriculum ideological and political education should be strengthened under the new situation, the construction of online open course platform should be strengthened, and high-quality curriculum resources should be shared. Finally, Dean Wang Yuan made a concluding speech on behalf of the hydraulic team at the closing ceremony of the conference.

Under the new situation, the college has inherited and carried forward the fine traditions, further strengthened the reform of undergraduate teaching management, established a teaching committee, hired undergraduate teaching supervisors, and will introduce relevant teaching management methods in the near future to further strengthen the morality, the foundation and the strengthening of The construction of teacher ethics and style, improve teachers' professional quality, standardize teaching process management, and promote the improvement of teaching ability.
