Our college wins the Excellence Award in the Innovation Group of Equipment Manufacturing at the 5th Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology Youth Member Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The equipment manufacturing final of the 5th Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology Youth Member Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Tianyin Conference Center, Nanjing Institute of Technology on Nov 14th. The team project of Sun Xiao, Tian Zhenghong and Ma Yuanshan, "Dynamic feedback control system for on-line rheological workability of concrete", was recommended by the Jiangsu Society of Hydroelectric Engineering and won the Excellence Award in the Innovation Group in the Equipment Manufacturing Field.
The competition is sponsored by Jiangsu Science and Technology Association, and jointly organized by Nanjing Institute of Technology, Nanjing Jiangning High-tech Zone Management Committee, Jiangsu Mechanical Engineering Society, and Nanjing Jiangning District Association for Science and Technology. The competition is committed to promoting the deep integration of technology and economy, gathering resources for innovation and entrepreneurship of the Association for Science and Technology, building a full-chain innovation and entrepreneurship service platform for training, evaluation, financing and investment, advances application and resource sharing. At the same time, it leads and encourages young scientific and technological talents, promotes the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, improves the awareness and ability of innovation, creation, and entrepreneurship. In addition, it discovers a number of outstanding projects with great market prospects, and promoting the cultivation of innovative talents and sustainable development of industrial ecology in Jiangsu Province.
With the theme of "Spark the Dreams and Ignite the Future", the competition attracted 249 projects in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, high-end machinery and equipment, building energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, and new energy. In the end, 29 projects advanced to the finals, including 14 entrepreneurial groups and 15 innovation groups. The participating teams included school students and experts, who made project explanations on technical costs, safety control, application areas, and investment return. A jury composed of university professors, top investors, senior experts and scholars made multi-dimensional comments on the final projects one by one, and put forward suggestions and opinions.
The team of Sun Xiao, Tian Zhenghong, and Ma Yuanshan of our college developed the “Dynamic feedback control system for on-line rheological workability of concrete” for the concrete mixing process, including a fully automatic screening concrete rheological parameter tester and intelligent feedback control expert system of concrete workability, building a reasonable quantitative control parameter and model system for concrete production quality, and using information technology to establish a full-process intelligent collection, calculation, analysis, evaluation and timely feedback adjustment mechanism to solve the problem of mixing work production control. The project was recommended by the Jiangsu Society of Hydroelectric Engineering and won the Excellence Award in the Innovation Group in the Equipment Manufacturing Field.
